1967 Epiphone El Dorado

1967 Epiphone El Dorado

I bought this guitar today from a Nashville session player. He bought it from Jerry Jones, the guitar maker, who was working at the Old Time Pickin' Parlor. The session guy had been borrowing a friend's Martin. The friend was moving back to L.A. and a session was booked for 2:00. The session cat bought the Epiphone, took it to the session and cut a Number One single for Dottie West.

It is weather-checked and has been repaired a few times. It sounds amazing - like a Gibson with a Martin touch. It was built in Kalamazoo and has the fabulous Gibson smell...
